Changing NVR/DVR Password

If there are any changes made to the DVR/NVR password, they can be updated through the Smart Surveillance Portal or Agent.

Changing NVR/DVR Password from Portal

You must be an admin user to change the NVR/DVR password from the Smart Surveillance Portal.

  1. Log in to the Smart Surveillance Portal.

  2. Select the appropriate group.

  3. Navigate to the Configuration section.

  4. Select the NVR/DVR option.

  5. Locate the desired NVR/DVR and expand its settings.

  6. Find the Password field.

  7. Clear the old password and enter the new password.

  8. Click Save to apply the changes.

Changing NVR/DVR Password from Agent

  1. Open the Smart Surveillance Agent.

  2. Go to Device Management.

  3. Select the NVR/DVR.

  4. Click on Configuration.

  5. Find the Password field.

  6. Clear the old password.

  7. Enter the new password.
