DDNS Configuration
DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) Configuration is the process of assigning a static hostname to a device with a changing external IP address, ensuring seamless remote access without the need for manual IP updates. This ensures uninterrupted monitoring and accessibility of surveillance systems from anywhere.
Steps for DDNS Configuration
- In DVR/NVR/IP Camera, the DDNS Settings can be found in the Network section. You will need to provide the domain name, server address, username, and password.
- To get these details, go to the Smart Surveillance Portal configuration page and select the DDNS option.
- On the DDNS page, you will find a common username and password mentioned at the top of the page, along with a list of devices that have already been added.
- From the list of devices, locate the corresponding DDNS name for your device. Copy this name and paste it into the Domain Name field in the DVR/NVR DDNS settings.
- For the Server Address, use dns.fynkrag.com. Use the common username and password as mentioned on the DDNS page.
- Save the settings and check the Smart Surveillance Portal DDNS page to ensure the external IP is displayed automatically. If the external IP is not displayed, double-check the entered details for accuracy.
- Log in to the ISP Modem and port forward in the modem by enabling DMZ and then give the local IP of DVR.
- In agent software, give the domain name as IP address.
