DVR/NVR IP Configuration

If there are any changes made to the DVR/NVR IP address used to connect with Smart Surveillance, they can be updated through the Smart Surveillance Portal or Agent application.

Note: If the static public IP or DDNS address remains unchanged, there’s no need to update the configuration. However, if the internal LAN IP changes, ensure that port forwarding is correctly configured on the router to maintain remote access.

Updating DVR/NVR IP Address from the Portal

You must be an admin user to update the DVR/NVR IP address through the Smart Surveillance Portal.

  1. Log in to the Smart Surveillance Portal.
  2. Select the appropriate group.
  3. Navigate to the Configuration section.
  4. Select the NVR/DVR option.
  5. Locate the desired NVR/DVR and expand its settings.
  6. Find the IP Address field.
  7. Replace the old IP address with the new one.
  8. Click Save to apply the changes.

Updating DVR/NVR IP Address from the Agent

  1. Open the Smart Surveillance Agent.
  2. Go to Device Management.
  3. Select the NVR/DVR.
  4. Click on Configuration.
  5. Find the IP Address field.
  6. Replace the old IP address with the new one.
