Adding a DVR/NVR

To monitor the real-time health status of a DVR/NVR, including its cameras and HDD, you must first add the device to the Agent application. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

  1. Open the Agent application.

  2. Navigate to Device Management.

  3. Click Add More Devices.

  4. In the Friendly Name field, enter a name for the DVR.

  5. From the Select Device dropdown, choose the DVR’s brand/company.

  6. (Optional) Enter the Router IP Address.

  7. Enter the Device IP Address of the DVR.

  8. Enter the Username and Password for the DVR.

  9. Port Number and HTTP Port are set automatically, but you can adjust the Port Number if necessary.

  10. Click Test and Add to complete the setup. Your DVR/NVR has been successfully added! You can now monitor its real-time health status, including camera feeds and HDD performance.

Adding a DVR/NVR via the Smart Surveillance Health Portal

  1. Log in to the Smart Surveillance Health Portal and select your group.

  2. Click on the Configurations tab on the left panel.

  3. Select DVR/NVR to open the DVR Configuration page.

  4. Click on the Add icon in the top right corner

  5. Enter the following details:

    • Select Agent – Choose your assigned agent.

    • Device Name – Enter the DVR/NVR name.

    • Device Make – Specify the DVR/NVR brand.

    • IP Address – Enter the DVR/NVR’s IP address.

    • Username – Enter the DVR/NVR login username.

    • Password – Enter the DVR/NVR login password.

    • Port Number – Enter the DVR/NVR’s port number.

  6. Click OFFLINE ADD to finalize the setup.
