Cross Checking Device Issues in HMS vs DVR Page

DVR:

  1. Offline-Not Reachable:

    • Check if the DVR IP is accessible from the agent-installed PC.
    • If the DVR is in a remote location, ensure that there is internet connectivity at that location.
    • Verify that the DVR is working and powered on.
    • Check if the DVR’s TCP/server port communication is open on the remote modem/router.
  2. Router Ping Failed:

    • Ping the router’s IP from the agent-installed PC to verify connectivity.
    • Check if the internet is working at the remote location.
    • Check if the VPN router is ON and working at the remote location.
  3. Invalid User-Password:

    • Ensure the correct username and password are used in the agent or portal for accessing the DVR.
    • Check the number of online users in the DVR page. If the user count is too high, the DVR might not allow further logins due to limitations.

Camera:

  1. Error:
    • Check if the camera is powered on and correctly connected to the designated channel of the DVR.
    • Ensure the camera feed is functioning properly.

Hard Disk (HDD):

  1. Error:
    • Verify if the HDD is operational and correctly connected to the DVR.
    • Check for any error messages on the DVR indicating HDD failure or lack of space.

Recording Issues:

  1. Last Recording Days Missing:
    • Check if today’s video recordings are available on the DVR’s hard disk.
