Releasing license for local backup and Enabling video backup in local PC or NAS
Even though video recordings are stored on the DVR/NVR hard disk, it’s always recommended to have a secondary backup on a PC or NAS. This ensures that videos can still be retrieved in case of hard disk failure or DVR/NVR malfunctions.
Enabling Secondary Backup
To enable secondary video backup, you need to obtain a license from the ConceptBytes Team. Contact them to activate the feature.
Configuring Backup Settings
Once the license is enabled:
- Open the Agent application.
- Go to Agent Settings.
- Choose the Backup Option:
- Local Backup: Enable this option to store backups on the PC where the Agent is installed.
- NAS Backup: Enable this option to store backups on a Network-Attached Storage (NAS) device within the same network.
