Views
For effective video monitoring, customized views with different layouts are essential. In some cases, a video wall displaying the same type of camera points, such as entry points across multiple locations, may be required. Custom views allow specific cameras from each DVR/NVR to be arranged according to surveillance needs.
How to Create a View
- Open and log in to the Smart Surveillance VMS application.
- Click on the Views panel on the left side.
- Right-click on the Root tab and select Create Group. (Multiple groups can be created, and under each group, multiple views can be added.)
- Enter a unique password for security. (This ensures that no one can edit the view settings without authorization.)
- Enter a Group Name and click OK.
- The group will be created and listed under Root.
- Right-click on Root and select Create View.
- Choose the required number of rows and columns (e.g., selecting 4 rows and 5 columns creates a 4x5 view).
- Enter a specific name for the view and click OK.
- The new view will appear under the group. Double-click to open it. A blank screen with the selected layout will be displayed.
- Open Devices, expand the list of DVRs/NVRs, and drag cameras into the view. Assign each camera to a specific spot according to surveillance requirements.
- Multiple views can be created in the same way.
- Once configured, right-click on the view and select Launch Video Wall to display the customized layout.
Note: Press F11 to exit full-screen mode and Esc to close the view.
