Managing Anomalies in VMS
To effectively monitor and report anomalies in locations during video surveillance, users can enable and configure the Anomaly Reports feature. Anomalies can be marked from both Live View and Playback.
Steps to Manage Anomalies:
1. Enable Anomaly Reports
* Navigate to Feature Selection in the VMS.
* Enable the Anomaly Reports feature.
2. Configure Anomalies
Go to Anomaly under the Settings, where you will find two configuration options:
(a) Manage Anomaly Headings
- Click on Manage Anomaly Head.
- Enter different headings (groups) for anomalies (e.g., Safety Violations, Operations etc).
- Save the changes.
(b) Add Anomalies Under Headings
- Click on Manage Anomaly.
- Select the heading where the anomaly belongs.
- Enter the specific anomalies to be monitored (e.g., Unauthorized Access etc).
- Save the entries.
Marking Anomalies During Live View or Playback
Once anomalies are configured in the system, users can mark them while monitoring video footage.
Steps to Mark an Anomaly:
- Open Live View or Playback in the VMS.
- Click on the “Anomaly” button within the camera window.
- Select the Anomaly Header (e.g., Safety Violations, Equipment Issues).
- Choose the Specific Anomaly from the list (e.g., Unauthorized Access, Fire Hazard).
- The system will log the anomaly for reporting and further review.
This helps in real-time tracking and efficient reporting of incidents.
Generating Anomaly Reports
To review and analyse recorded anomalies, follow these steps to generate anomaly reports:
Steps to Access Anomaly Reports:
- Go to Settings and navigate to the Reports section.
- Select Anomaly Reports from the available report types.
- Filter the Report by selecting:
- User
- Group
- Agent
- DVR
- Anomaly Header (e.g., Safety Violations, Equipment Issues)
- Anomaly Name (e.g., Unauthorized Access, Fire Hazard)
- Date Range for the report
- Click on Search to generate the report.
- There is also an option to Download the report for further analysis or record-keeping.
This feature allows management to review incidents efficiently and take necessary actions.
